The heart of our Stage 4 Package, this is a great option for those who want to build out their own system.
Kit includes;
- Garrett 2871R Ball Bearing Turbocharger
- Ecotec T2 Exhaust Manifold
- Steel Braided Oil Feed line
- Oil Drain Line
- Gaskets and Hardware
This is the heart of our Stage 4 Kit for the Ecotec platforms.. We have used this same turbo on our Track Solstice, SKY and Cobalt’s that make over 500hp on Ethanol. Kit is customizable to ensure the powerplant conforms to the goals of the project.
The Turbo comes internally Waste-Gated with a 17psi Crack pressure. An External BOV will need to be used with this configuration.
If you are looking for a complete turn key system look at our Stage 4 Package..

Options:
- Cast vs Billet Compressor Wheels
- The Cast wheel is a great option for the entry level big turbo set up or those who know they will not run over 450hp.
- Our Billet wheel is a nice option that allows for even lower spool time and greater airflow… with this option we can make 500hp on Pump Gas or 550hp on Ethanol.
- The Manifold
- The base cast manifold is a great option as it was designed by the engineers at Garrett specifically for the Ecotec firing order and built for optimum flow.
- The RPM Tubular Header is built in house and from 1 ¾’ 304 Stainless Tubing. It provides superior airflow and is engineer for Track applications to maximize the capabilities of the 2871R Turbocharger.
- Downpipe:
- Build your own, the Garrett 2871r uses a standard 5 bolt discharge flange that can be used to fabricate your own Down-Pipe.
- The RPM Down-Pipes both use 3” 304 Stainless Steel the only difference is if you want it to mate to a standard GM Flange found on your car or a 3” V-Band for a custom exhaust system or use with RPM’s Tru-Race Exhaust.
- Turbine A/R:
- .64 a/r will give you better response lower in the RPM band but will not produce as much HP above 4500RPM’s. Perfect for drag racing where you need power right off the line.
- .86 a/r will have a slightly longer spool time down low but gives you peak HP/TQ in the mid range and carries it all the way through to the higher RPM band. Perfect for road coarse racing where you can use the extra power in the striate away’s .
- NOTE: You can purchase both Turbine housings and swap between them to have a multi capable platform! Contact us for more info
